background and history of Kobe Restaurant
Several restaurants named “Kobe” offer unique dining experiences. Hy Aisenstat and Rod Gardiner founded Kobe Japanese Steakhouse in Rancho Mirage, California, in 1978. Teppan chefs prepare meals in an entertaining atmosphere at the restaurant. Celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Arnold Schwarzenegger have visited the hotel over the years. Hideo Yamada acquired the restaurant in the late 80s. A Japanese antique still adds to the ambiance of the hotel. Since 1975, Kobe Sizzlers has had over 20 locations around the world. Freshly made sauces and local sizzlers are its trademarks.
Doi Tan Nguyen and his son Chau founded Kobe Steakhouse in 1984 in Florida to offer hibachi-style grilling. Its vibrant dining experience has made this family-owned restaurant chain popular. Japanese hibachi grilling originated as a heating device during the Heian period (794-1185 AD). In Japan and the U.S., it evolved into a cooking tool and a performative dining experience. An engaging, entertaining atmosphere is provided by Kobe restaurants.
