Huey Magoos background and history
The Huey Magoos chain specializes in high-quality chicken tenders. Thad Hudgens and Matt Armstrong founded it in Mississippi in 2004. The restaurant’s chicken tenders are hand-breaded, grilled and served with signature sauces. Profits are donated to non-profits and community groups. An ex-Wingstop marketing executive, Andy Howard, became a partner in 2023. Arden, North Carolina, is one of the chain’s 50 locations. Besides Florida, it plans to expand internationally. A free meal is offered to veterans, law enforcement, teachers, and nurses who attend Huey Magoo’s appreciation events. Through its annual “A Very Magoo’s Christmas” event, it supports local charities.
