Description

This Moist Banana Bread is buttery, tender, and full of sweet banana goodness. Easy to make with simple pantry staples, it’s perfect for breakfast, snacking, or dessert. Enjoy plain or add nuts, chocolate chips, or spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 very ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.

  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. Fold & Pour: Gently fold in nuts or chocolate chips, if desired. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  5. Bake: Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool & Serve: Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Make Ahead: Banana bread tastes even better the next day. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate up to 1 week.

Freezing: Wrap cooled loaf (or slices) in plastic wrap and foil; freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge.

Variations: Add shredded coconut, dried fruit, or swirl in Nutella for a fun twist.

Serving Suggestions: Serve warm with butter, cream cheese, or a drizzle of honey. Perfect with coffee or tea.
