Description

Tender honey garlic chicken thighs glazed in a sweet, savory sauce—perfectly balanced, flavorful, and easy for weeknight family dinners.

Ingredients

● 6 bone-in, skinless chicken thighs
● 3 tablespoons honey
● 3 tablespoons soy sauce
● 1 tablespoon olive oil
● 4 cloves garlic, minced
● 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
● ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
● ½ teaspoon salt
● 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
● Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

Step No.1: Prepare the chicken
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to enhance flavor and promote crispy browning during cooking.

Step No.2: Make the sauce
In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar until smooth. Set aside for later use during cooking.

Step No.3: Sear the chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down until golden brown and partially cooked through.

Step No.4: Add the sauce
Pour the prepared honey garlic mixture over the chicken. Reduce heat to low, letting the sauce simmer and coat the chicken evenly.

Step No.5: Thicken the glaze
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir it in. Continue simmering until the glaze becomes sticky and glossy.

Step No.6: Garnish and serve
Remove chicken from heat, spoon sauce over the top, and sprinkle with parsley or green onions for a fresh finishing touch.

Notes

Make Ahead: Sauce can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Baked Option: Bake chicken thighs at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, then brush with sauce and broil for 2–3 minutes.

Flavor Variations: Add grated ginger or sesame oil for an Asian twist.

Serving Suggestions: Serve over rice, quinoa, or noodles with steamed veggies or a side salad.

Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove.
