Description

Crispy oven-baked chicken wings coated in a rich garlic-butter sauce and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese make the ultimate appetizer. These Garlic Parmesan Wings are easy to prepare, full of flavor, and perfect for parties or game day.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split at joints, tips removed)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (for crispiness)

For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly grease the rack.

  2. Prepare Wings: Pat wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and baking powder until evenly coated.

  3. Bake: Arrange wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Make Sauce: While wings bake, melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.

  5. Toss & Serve: Place baked wings in a large bowl, pour garlic-Parmesan mixture over, and toss until coated. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Extra Crispy: Make sure to pat wings very dry before seasoning. Baking powder helps crisp the skin.

Air Fryer Option: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Variations: Add a pinch of chili flakes or cayenne for a spicy kick. Try Asiago or Romano cheese for a different flavor twist.

Serving Suggestions: Pair with celery sticks, ranch or blue cheese dip, and extra Parmesan on top.

Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep crispy.
