Brusters background and history
It was founded by Bruce Reed in 1989. Jerry Reed, the father of Jerry’s Curb Service, inspired his father’s passions for quality food and service. In order to create his own ice cream shop, Bruce learned the restaurant business from his father. For his sister, he developed the first recipe for Bruster’s ice cream. Friend and family franchised the concept in 1993. Around 200 Bruster’s locations are independently owned in 22 states, Guyana, and South Korea. In-house, small-batch ice cream is the company’s specialty. Every day, at least 24 flavors are prepared fresh. You can also order artisan desserts at Bruster’s.
